In order to make my digipak look more professional I created a template in photoshop.

Digipak Changes: CD

Within my CD I added a sticker in the middle of the vinyl. I did this so my digipak showed some continuity. All Cds in my research had the artist name and album name on them therefore I used this. I used the image I used for my back cover on my CD again to show continuity through my digipak.

Digipak: Back Page Changes

Here is the only change I made to my back page:
I put a drop shadow on the text as shown in order to make  it stand out more.

Digipak Changes: Inside Page

This was my original inside page of my digipak

I thought this idea was very basic and didn't show any creativity or media skills therefore limiting my ability. Therefore I changed it to an andy warhol inspired piece as shown. I did this by filling the images on photoshop in the colours of my colour scheme.

Digipak Changes: Front Cover

Like my back page there was very little I wanted to change on my front cover.

I again added a drop shadow on my text in order for it to stand out more on the page.

However, I still felt that it wasn't eye catching enough for a digipak front cover therefore I changed the font. I found the fonts on photoshop were very basic so I dowlnoaded a font from DAFONT.COM and used it for my artists name. The typography is very eye catching and works well with my chosen genre.

Digipak: front and back image choice

I have chosen to use these two images to for my front and back page of my digipak after my photoshoot. The reason for this is because the pose is the same but taken from the back and the front of my artist.

Digipak Research

This is Ellie Gouldings digipak for her album Halcyon days. It has a strong colour scheme where all the colours compliment each other. The digipak also uses an image on the front while keeping the back very simple which I like.

In terms of CD as my target audience is said to be cultured and like art I really like the idea that the Artic Monkeys had an created a CD looking like a vinyl. I think this is very unique and creative so I am going to use this idea.

Digipak Research

When researching digipaks one thing I noticed was that many artists used triangles on their album covers. I really liked this concept and will try to incorporate it somewhere on my digipak.

Here are some examples:
